Bunco night and Women of Caliber date

I have played bunco once a month with the same ladies for the last 7 years. I love it. Its a night to get out, girl talk, eat food, party, get crazy and dress up. Bunco is a dice game of luck. You have to have 12 people to play, you pay 10 dollars to play and you get dinner and a prize. In the beginning of the year you sign up to host which entails cooking dinner for 12, thinking of a theme, and buying prizes. I love when we have themed buncos and get to dress up. This month We had a toga theme, full of delicious Greek food that made me regret everything I did when I woke up in the morning. I am sad I didn't get a picture of the food. It was fantastic!

Don't you love my pretty friends?

Saturday Women of Caliber went to a painting place to pain pictures of....GUNS! (obviously) It was a valentines' date so we could invite our spouses. It was a fun time, after that we went out to dinner and enjoyed more of each others company.

Sunday was Valentines day. As Chris and I were sitting in church I kept thinking of how we met in the singles ward and our time there. It was nice to be able to spend valentines at church and remember all those times. We had a very low key day after that, consisted of visiting family, laying on the couch and watching TV.

Easter and Not Having Friends at Church

I had the privilege of teaching the Easter lesson this Sunday. I taught on the Savoir's last week on earth. I hid Easter eggs all over the room with scpritures on Christ inside them. The girls loved the Easter egg hunt because their parents say they are too old for egg hunts.  Sunday's are hard sometimes. I caught my self crying during sacrament today. well, because I have no friends. About a year ago our Ward was dissolved. I had a lot of friends at church, some who have become my best friends. My good friend Jenni who lives a block away and was really my only friend in the ward, moved across town yesterday. Another family I am friends with is moving as well. Church is the hardest place to make friends. I feel like because I don't have kids, and I'm not a newly wed, I don't fit in with any of the groups. The people my age have a million kids, and the couples without kids are kids themselves and just got married like last week, and no one has really wanted to be my ...

Valentines Day

Valentines day is a very special day for us. Nine years ago we went on our first date. Nine years ago I was doing some not so good things with my life. I drank a lot, did drugs, and smoked cigarettes. Not the ideal thing for a Mormon girl to be doing. I did not have much support and just hung out with people who did the same things as me. I knew I wanted to changed and be better but I didn't know how. I prayed one night the Lord would send me someone who would help me with my drinking and smoking because I couldn't do it alone. One day in January I went to church,  at the singles ward, pretty hung over from the night before. But hey, at least I was at church! I remember seeing this boy from a distance and something struck me. You know love at first sight? Thats kind of what happened, except it wasn't exactly love; there was just something about him that I needed in my life. He saw me sitting alone in Sunday school and he asked to sit next to me. I looked around the empty...

Christmas

My friends think they know me or something.... Amy made a shirt that says "Trophy Receptionist" in GOLD, and Ginger gave me socks that said " You're Not The Boss of Me" It's like they think I act like a princess, but I don't ;). I was pretty excited for my socks and shirt My lady lumps make it hard to read my shirt!  Since it was the week before Christmas we really didn't have a lot of patients. Amy and I made one of our famous music videos, I am going to try to post it right here but don't know if it will work.  I went to Sam's Club with my sister one day and hung out with my super cute nephews. I want to squeeze and kiss them all the time! They are the most kissable boys ever! Well, So is Chris! The little one is just chillin like a gangsta.  With my Christmas bonus I bought myself an Alex and Ani bracelet. These are super popular in Rhode Island and they have a store in Salt Lake City too. They were start...
