My Calm Boring Week

This week was MUCH better than the week before! It was full of working out, attempting to eat healthy, work, homework and guns. Typical week. Since my recent weight gain I have been TRYING to eat healthy, but its so hard when there is a candy drawer at work I can't keep my paws out of. I'll eat a salad for lunch, then eat 10 lbs of candy afterwards. The struggle is real folks.I went to a group power class with Jenni on Monday evening, and woke up the next morning and did my usual circuit training class. Tuesday homework happened and Chris and I also went to the range and went shooting. He bought himself a new AR-15, so we had to test it out. This next section I am going to call adventures at work. My job as  trophy receptionist is serious business. I get to file, and pick up sodas for everyone. Sometimes I HATE filing, especially when I get busy and it stacks up. My dear sweet co-workers were kind and sweet enough to file in their spare time, are they no

The Week After My Trip

I have been running non stop since I got home from Rhode Island. dishes were neglected, lauundry wasn't done. And I had little sleep. Saturday morning I thought it was a brilliant idea to wake up early after getting home at 1am to go shoot in a match. I was tired and exhausted and I probably should have stayed home. It was a big deal for me to shoot in the match because it was a year ago I shot in my first match and finally got over my fear. A year ago I pulled up to the match crying wondering what I was thinking. A year later, I now do this several times a month and have improved my skills tremendously. A year ago I got dead last, this year I finished 30th out of 37. It really wasn't one of my best matches because I had only gotten off a air plane hours before from an emotional week. But I wasn't last! Sunday evening was dinner at my parents house and I got to hug, hold, squeeze, and kiss this: After a very long Monday and going back to work, the

Rhode Island

My 94 year old grandpa in Rhode Island has cancer and was given about 2 weeks left. So Monday night I got my dads and I tickets to fly to Rhode Island for Wednesday. Tuesday was crazy, running around doing errands, trying to get homework done. I made sure I got my nails done for the trip so I could de-stress for a little bit. Wednesday we left for Utah where we had a red eye. I was so exhausted. We flew into Boston and then took a train to providence. Mama Jo picked us up at the train station in the bear suit!! It was hilarious! It's so weird seeing mama Jo in Rhode Island! I spent the night with her and we got some good ol Rhode Island Grinda's for dinner. So good! Mama Jo was so kind to let me stay with her and drive her car. My time there was been quite busy. I haven't been there in 7 years. I am such an Idaho girl now! The traffic  drove me crazy. The speed limit on the highway is 55! I really missed the food, the ocean, and the accents. I spent lots
