Toothless Puppies

On Thursday the pups went in for a dental and their yearly shots. $500 later, between the two of them they had 7 teeth pulled. The poor babies were miserable. We had to buy them wet dog food, they mopped around the house and laid around all day. A few days of pain killers and they are back to themselves. We now call Roxy  Toothless McGee, since she lost all her front bottom teeth. $500 teeth. Do you think the tooth fairy will reimburse us? Sick babies just wanted to cuddle. Friday morning I had a lunch date with one of my new Women of Caliber friends to explain somethings about the club. There ended up being another gal from our club there on her lunch break so we all ate together, and in true Women of Caliber style, took a selfie.  Friday after work we had adult things to do. Like, not make dinner, have pizza and go grocery shopping. I usually never make boxed or frozen dinners (ok, except those delicious sweet potato fries pictured) I mostly cook everything from

Friends

Tuesday was a match. It was the very last match for the 13 week winter indoor league. I sucked it up bad. I did absolutely terrible. I got last place, and I don't remember the last time I finished last. I am not sure what happened. I think I may have killed some brain cells earlier that day trying to fit a whole weeks worth of homework into a short few hour block. I had an enjoyable time though with my friends and team mates. We got new sponsors on our jerseys. Look how many people support us! Wednesday evening I met some ladies at the range just to target shoot and have fun. I shot pretty dang well. I had great grouping and these are where all my bullets hit. I was pretty impressed. I don't know why I couldn't have done that for the match. But, like someone told me, I just had an off day. I did have a lot of fun shooting with new friends. I love meeting new friends through the shooting community. My very first best friend growing up in Rhode Island was Melis

What a week.

The week went by really fast and I have no idea what happened. I had to check the pictures in my phone to remember it all! Monday after my super hard job as a receptionist I had a competition training. The guy who trained my group is dang good at what he does. He is a police officer and taught us lots of good stuff. I really enjoyed the training and had so much confidence afterwards.                                                            Tuesday was full of homework. Have I mentioned that I'm a student? Sometimes I forget because shooting has taken over my life. To take a break from homework I met some ladies in my club at a local gun shop in down town Idaho Falls called Eagle Rock Armory. They have new owners so I wanted to see what they were like and what we can do for them or they can do for us. I really enjoyed our visit and I think I am going to really like the networking part of being Women of Caliber president. I like meeting new people and making new friends.

Bunco night and Women of Caliber date

I have played bunco once a month with the same ladies for the last 7 years. I love it. Its a night to get out, girl talk, eat food, party, get crazy and dress up. Bunco is a dice game of luck. You have to have 12 people to play, you pay 10 dollars to play and you get dinner and a prize. In the beginning of the year you sign up to host which entails cooking dinner for 12, thinking of a theme, and buying prizes. I love when we have themed buncos and get to dress up. This month We had a toga theme, full of delicious Greek food that made me regret everything I did when I woke up in the morning. I am sad I didn't get a picture of the food. It was fantastic! Don't you love my pretty friends? Saturday Women of Caliber went to a painting place to pain pictures of....GUNS! (obviously) It was a valentines' date so we could invite our spouses. It was a fun time, after that we went out to dinner and enjoyed more of each others company. Sunday was Valentines

Valentines Day

Valentines day is a very special day for us. Nine years ago we went on our first date. Nine years ago I was doing some not so good things with my life. I drank a lot, did drugs, and smoked cigarettes. Not the ideal thing for a Mormon girl to be doing. I did not have much support and just hung out with people who did the same things as me. I knew I wanted to changed and be better but I didn't know how. I prayed one night the Lord would send me someone who would help me with my drinking and smoking because I couldn't do it alone. One day in January I went to church,  at the singles ward, pretty hung over from the night before. But hey, at least I was at church! I remember seeing this boy from a distance and something struck me. You know love at first sight? Thats kind of what happened, except it wasn't exactly love; there was just something about him that I needed in my life. He saw me sitting alone in Sunday school and he asked to sit next to me. I looked around the empty

What I ate what I wore

I usually eat pretty dang healthy. I flush my body with about 80-100 oz of  lemon water. I full up on tons of fruits and veggies and have just plain grilled chicken for lunch and only try to have diet Mountain Dew on the weekends.. But, because my stupid thyroid doesn't work I cant loose weight for crap. I have lost about 40 pounds but it has taken me over 3 years to loose it all. I work out all the time and eat healthy but the weight wont budge. I'm still working on about 20 more Id like to loose. I also think my anti-depressants have made me gain weight. But here is my super healthy foods from this week: morning snack at work, one scoop of protein, berries, spinach and half a banana smoothie and cutie. Afternoon snack at work, orange and kiwi Dinner, grilled chicken, Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes. I did lots of actually getting dressed this week. I was busy and had places to go that required putting on real pants, (I hate pants) It is a very rare
