Work, Workout, Party, Shoot

The week started like this:
Hey, its protein, right? Before my workout the Bishop stopped by the house as I was on my way out the door and I was embarrassed because I was in my workout clothes and my boobs were hanging out... He came to give me a new calling, I am now a relief society teacher! I subbed one time, talked about my drugs and drinking, cried the whole time, and they decided they wanted me permanently...Well, I hope I don't offend too many people. Better learn to stop swearing.

Work was a delight like usual. Amy went home to Virginia last month and sent Ginger and I some pretty classic pictures of herself from her childhood. Working at an eye doctor, we have a box of old glasses. We came across a pair of old glasses that I thought looked exactly like the ones Amy had on in one of her childhood pictures. We decided to recreate the picture. Exhibit A:

Look at it! Isn't that amazing! we all had a kick out of it. Thank you childhood Amy for being our entertainment of the day. We had staff meeting one day at 7:20 in the morning, and just to add to it, it was on my day off. I rolled out of bed and threw on my gym clothes and off to the meeting I went, only to arrive and have Kneaders french toast waiting for us! Our boss is the best. 425 calories later I took my butt to the gym to work that delisciousness off.
Almost weekly I get a complaint from a co-worker about my parking job. I see no problem with my parking, did I hit your car? Did you hit mine? Am I over the line, or just too close to the line? See, there is no problem.

Thursday I had another round of electrolysis. Beauty my friends, is full of pain. And I welcome it with open arms.

Friday was Bunco night! It was a Halloween theme. Ginger, Amy and I had planned the best threesome costume! The three blind mice! The funny part of it is that we work at an eye doctor, and we had access to cataract glasses. To start off the night Ginger came over so I could tease her hair. She says her hair is too thick and heavy and that it would never hold a tease. I thought: Challenge accepted! I am the queen of tease! I teased her hair to heaven and it looked fabulous. She was my real life barbie with her long beautiful hair. I sent a picture of us to our boss and the doctor saying we couldn't see and asking who the on call doctor is, (Its our doctor this week) In response our boss said we were having too much fun and was worried we would scare patients if we came into work like that, and the doc's response was to go find a vet.  As the night went on, only a couple of us went to the after party. I stayed out wayyyy too late and I had a match in Twin Falls the next morning that I had to wake up at 5 in the morning for. Bad decision.

5am came on Saturday and it was time to shoot! The range in Twin Falls was holding a breast cancer awareness match where ladies shot for a discounted price and cancer survivors shot for free. I felt like we had to go because Chris is a cancer survivor and he deserved it. Chris synovial cell sarcoma when he was 11 years old. I could only imagine what it was like for him and his mom at that time in his life and I am so grateful I have him in my life! A few years ago I found a lump in my left breast. It was pretty scary, so I went in for an ultrasound and there were actually two lumps, even scarier. I had them biopsied and it was terrible. I am a baby when it comes to pain and I laid on the operating table the whole time just crying because it hurt and it was so scary for me only being 25 years old. The days after the biopsy were the longest. Thank goodness they came back benign. The doctor suggests that I get them removed but I am not ready for that. The biopsy was painful enough that I think I want to wait years until I get them removed. My lumps (lady lumps..get it ;) They hurt once in a while and I am reminded of that scary time. I am definitely more aware of breast cancer and more concerned about it now. I felt like this match was an important one to go to. We got to the range and had lots of fun! The people in Twin Falls are fun people and I like their range (except for that one old dude who called me a porn star) I placed 42 out of 45, but I personally shot very well and think there was some improvement. I didn't get last! After the match we went to dinner at a Chinese buffet Chris likes and got back on the road. I went to bed at 9 and woke up at 8.

PS: WTF is this? Twin Falls, am I right?

Today we went to another Ward to listen to our friends the Russel's who just came home from their mission in Nauvoo, Illinois! It was good to see them and hear about their mission. It was also nice that their church started at 11. This afternoon while doing homework I had the urge to suddenly get up an cut my bangs. Do I always make irrational decisions? The answer is always yes.

I hope your week was great my friends! Lets end with the puppy picutres! This is how my homework usually gets done.

Easter and Not Having Friends at Church

I had the privilege of teaching the Easter lesson this Sunday. I taught on the Savoir's last week on earth. I hid Easter eggs all over the room with scpritures on Christ inside them. The girls loved the Easter egg hunt because their parents say they are too old for egg hunts.  Sunday's are hard sometimes. I caught my self crying during sacrament today. well, because I have no friends. About a year ago our Ward was dissolved. I had a lot of friends at church, some who have become my best friends. My good friend Jenni who lives a block away and was really my only friend in the ward, moved across town yesterday. Another family I am friends with is moving as well. Church is the hardest place to make friends. I feel like because I don't have kids, and I'm not a newly wed, I don't fit in with any of the groups. The people my age have a million kids, and the couples without kids are kids themselves and just got married like last week, and no one has really wanted to be my

2016

I have sat and thought a lot about what I am going to say in this post. So much has happened this year, its been rough but it also has been a blessing. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right? I learned a lot this year. First of all the biggest thing I learned that I definitely paid for was listening to bad feelings. I learned what true friendship was, and saw the ones who cared and saw the ones who didn't. I learned about priorities and what really is important in life. I learned of death and that death is not the end. I learned patience. Maybe I didn't learn patience but I tolerated patience. I learned and always knew that no matter what happens in life that you and your spouse are all that matters. Lets start off with January. Chris was working at the juvenile detention center 45 minuets away from our house. This was a wonderful job opportunity that we both felt so good about. It started to become rough. He was gone all the time and we never saw each other. He

Treat Yo Self!

I love to pamper myself, on a budget of course. But what girl doesn't? I promise I am in no way high maintenance, hence the fact all my clothes come from Wal Mart, I'm obsessed with guns and I love the outdoors. But there is a side of me who loooooves to get her nails did and spend too much money on all the pretty makeup. My friends own a beauty school here in my town and I get all my beauty services done there, 1, its a really good price and 2, the students need to learn and I am not picky! Plus some of my friends work there and its fun to see them! I also think it might be a problem when the receptionist knows its you on the phone... Since school is destroying my life I haven't been to the salon in forever!! Also, my bestie JP moved away and we would go get our nails done every two weeks. Last week I decided I NEEDED a microderm. Basically, a microderm is someone with a sandpaper machine going over your face with it to get rid of dead skin cells which can result in glowin
