Jackpot!

Since it is Tuesday, and I usually blog on Sunday's I really have no idea what happened last week. We also got new phones and I lost all of my pictures so I can't look back and see what I did. So lets start with Thursday! JP (Jenni) moved to Boise recently. Her, Lisa and I were a tight group. We mostly liked to gamble and get our nails did. Lisa and I were very sad when JP moved away. We thought it would be fun to meet each other half way in Twin Falls for lunch. Then, someone mentioned  Jackpot, NV only being 45 minuets away from Twin, and we were sold! At our local casino here, they send you birthday bucks, it being mine and Lisa's birthday month, we stopped at Fort Hall at 8:30 in the morning to spend our free cash. Let me tell you, the casino is dead on a Thursday at 8;30 in the morning. We got back on the road and 2 hours later met Jenni at a gestation in Twin. She hopped in the car and we made our way south to Jackpot, NV! Have you ever been to Jackpot? It is literally in the middle of nowhere! We got to one of the hotels, Cactus Pete's and ate lunch. Surprisingly, the food was pretty good! We acted as if we were in Vegas with glutenous food. We played some machines, some music videos were made, and then we played some craps. I love live gaming! I like it better than the machines. I wish Fort Hall had live gaming. I think I need to move to Jackpot and work as one of their bartenders. Or, move to Twin and spend all my Friday nights at the casino. Although, I think I would get in a lot of trouble if I lived there. After loosing all our money, we got back on the road and went to the booming metropolis of Twin Falls. We stopped at the mall for a minuet and then stopped for dinner. We said our goodbyes and it was sad. I had a really good day! If JP never moved to Boise we would never have discovered Jackpot! It was so good to see JP and be reunited.

Twin Falls has some of the best views! This never gets old.

Since I partied too hard with my friends I totally lost my voice the next day. The problem is, I answer the phones all day long at my job. It was rather entertaining. After work we went and got new phones! We upgraded to the iphone 7 and I feel super classy now. Friday night we went to dinner at our friends the Jagielski's. Stan is one of our shooting friends and so the night ended like this:

Saturday morning I woke up and still no voice. That morning we went to the park for some family pictures. The gal, Kamie, that does our pictures is so talented! She has done both my sisters engagements, weddings, and did pictures for Chris and I a couple years ago. I am so excited to see what they look like!

Saturday evening Angelina, from my gun group and I went to Pocatello to try a Krav Maga class. It is a Israeli self defense. It was intense, and it was also really good. I am excited to keep doing it and learn some new skills. The instructor said that there is a slim chance we will ever use our guns in a bad situation, so it is best to learn some self defense. I woke up the next morning super sore! I even lift weights and do total body strengthening classes!

Easter and Not Having Friends at Church

I had the privilege of teaching the Easter lesson this Sunday. I taught on the Savoir's last week on earth. I hid Easter eggs all over the room with scpritures on Christ inside them. The girls loved the Easter egg hunt because their parents say they are too old for egg hunts.  Sunday's are hard sometimes. I caught my self crying during sacrament today. well, because I have no friends. About a year ago our Ward was dissolved. I had a lot of friends at church, some who have become my best friends. My good friend Jenni who lives a block away and was really my only friend in the ward, moved across town yesterday. Another family I am friends with is moving as well. Church is the hardest place to make friends. I feel like because I don't have kids, and I'm not a newly wed, I don't fit in with any of the groups. The people my age have a million kids, and the couples without kids are kids themselves and just got married like last week, and no one has really wanted to be my ...

Valentines Day

Valentines day is a very special day for us. Nine years ago we went on our first date. Nine years ago I was doing some not so good things with my life. I drank a lot, did drugs, and smoked cigarettes. Not the ideal thing for a Mormon girl to be doing. I did not have much support and just hung out with people who did the same things as me. I knew I wanted to changed and be better but I didn't know how. I prayed one night the Lord would send me someone who would help me with my drinking and smoking because I couldn't do it alone. One day in January I went to church,  at the singles ward, pretty hung over from the night before. But hey, at least I was at church! I remember seeing this boy from a distance and something struck me. You know love at first sight? Thats kind of what happened, except it wasn't exactly love; there was just something about him that I needed in my life. He saw me sitting alone in Sunday school and he asked to sit next to me. I looked around the empty...

Christmas

My friends think they know me or something.... Amy made a shirt that says "Trophy Receptionist" in GOLD, and Ginger gave me socks that said " You're Not The Boss of Me" It's like they think I act like a princess, but I don't ;). I was pretty excited for my socks and shirt My lady lumps make it hard to read my shirt!  Since it was the week before Christmas we really didn't have a lot of patients. Amy and I made one of our famous music videos, I am going to try to post it right here but don't know if it will work.  I went to Sam's Club with my sister one day and hung out with my super cute nephews. I want to squeeze and kiss them all the time! They are the most kissable boys ever! Well, So is Chris! The little one is just chillin like a gangsta.  With my Christmas bonus I bought myself an Alex and Ani bracelet. These are super popular in Rhode Island and they have a store in Salt Lake City too. They were start...
