Two Week Recap

Last week we had Bunco night. The theme for this month was a luau. Of course coconut bras had to be involved. I bought some of our outfits on my lunch break. The packaging for the coconut bras said "one sizes fits all" let me tell you how much of a joke that is! Here is Amy and I testing them out

Bunco came and it was so fun and super cute! after our game of dice rolling we went back into town for the after party to sit, eat, drink, and party some more.

After staying out too late the next morning there was a match. Chris and I got there earlier because we designed a stage and had to set it up. It was so cold and windy and a crappy day for shooing but it was still fun of course! After we shot we went out to lunch with some friends from the range.

This May match marks two years ago that I started competitive shooting. I have come a long way and I have improved a lot! I have met amazing people along the way and the coolest guys. I was talking with Chris the other day about how its a little harder being a female in the gun world without the group of ladies I used to shoot with. Before, I had that group with me and we always shot together. Now that I left that group I shoot with the guys. I am not complaining at all, because lets be honest, guys are sometimes better to hang out with than girls, they want to help you not tare you down. But I feel like the third wheel now with Chris and Stan, I need to find a good shooting partner! But, I will honestly say I think I've learn a lot more now that I left the club then when I was in the club. Now that I look at it they were holding me back. We were always together and I never got to shoot with anyone else. Now since I have branched out I have seen others shooters and what they can do and they have taught me a lot more. I don't regret leaving at all, I just get stuck as the third wheel ;)  And I still enjoy some of the friendships (those who haven't disregarded me since I left)

I did a side by side comparison  from my first match to last week and holy cow what a difference! I have improved A LOT! I look at the picture and think, "what in the world was I doing?"

I got asked by one of my followers on Instagram if I ever carry while wearing my scrubs at work. I post all my other concealed carry outfits on Instagram to show women that you can dress anyway and still be able to carry your firearm.  I have gotten so many messages and comments saying that it really helps them out. So one the gal asked me if I carry with my scrubs, I thought well, "why don't I?" I don't carry in my scrubs because I don't ever think about it but I decided to give it a try. I have e belly band and it worked out perfectly. It was comfy and secure all day.
We had a staff meeting at work this week because we are getting a new Doctor in our office and my boss wanted us to meet him. Our boss wanted us to be on our best behavior and that obviously didn't last 5 minuets with Ginger, Amy and I. I told the new Doctor my name was Amy. We played a team building exercise where we had to build a free standing structure with tape, string, spaghetti and  marshmallow on top. The timer went off and we went to work! I hopped on top of the table to get an easier access to our structure and get right in there. Low and behold Amy, Ginger, Tanja and I won! Ours was the only one that was standing. We are the crazies of the office but now they will think of us differently.

This week was a super rough week at school. To take a break Chris and I drove 30 minuets to our favorite burger place in Rexburg called The Burg. It seriously is the best! After dinner we talked around the gardens on campus

The temple has been closed for renevations for nearly 2 years. It opened up for an open house for anyone and everyone to take a tour. One night Chris and I worked as Ushers and then I went with Ginger and her boyfriend and another time I went with my dad and Chris. It was fun to go and see the remodeling.

My friend Vanessa recently moved back to Idaho Falls. She initially set Chris and I up 10 years ago! Shes been all over the place since then but has moved back. I invited her to my Krav Maga class last night and it was so good to see her! We had fun kicking ass in class and then eating Chipotle afterwards. She is into guns as well except she is a rifle and shotgun kinda gal and I'm a handgun kinda gal. We are going to help eachother out and I'm going to get her into competition shooting! It's going to be so fun and I'm so excited!

I'll end with some misc pictures of my newphes and the fur babies!

Easter and Not Having Friends at Church

I had the privilege of teaching the Easter lesson this Sunday. I taught on the Savoir's last week on earth. I hid Easter eggs all over the room with scpritures on Christ inside them. The girls loved the Easter egg hunt because their parents say they are too old for egg hunts.  Sunday's are hard sometimes. I caught my self crying during sacrament today. well, because I have no friends. About a year ago our Ward was dissolved. I had a lot of friends at church, some who have become my best friends. My good friend Jenni who lives a block away and was really my only friend in the ward, moved across town yesterday. Another family I am friends with is moving as well. Church is the hardest place to make friends. I feel like because I don't have kids, and I'm not a newly wed, I don't fit in with any of the groups. The people my age have a million kids, and the couples without kids are kids themselves and just got married like last week, and no one has really wanted to be my

2016

I have sat and thought a lot about what I am going to say in this post. So much has happened this year, its been rough but it also has been a blessing. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right? I learned a lot this year. First of all the biggest thing I learned that I definitely paid for was listening to bad feelings. I learned what true friendship was, and saw the ones who cared and saw the ones who didn't. I learned about priorities and what really is important in life. I learned of death and that death is not the end. I learned patience. Maybe I didn't learn patience but I tolerated patience. I learned and always knew that no matter what happens in life that you and your spouse are all that matters. Lets start off with January. Chris was working at the juvenile detention center 45 minuets away from our house. This was a wonderful job opportunity that we both felt so good about. It started to become rough. He was gone all the time and we never saw each other. He

Treat Yo Self!

I love to pamper myself, on a budget of course. But what girl doesn't? I promise I am in no way high maintenance, hence the fact all my clothes come from Wal Mart, I'm obsessed with guns and I love the outdoors. But there is a side of me who loooooves to get her nails did and spend too much money on all the pretty makeup. My friends own a beauty school here in my town and I get all my beauty services done there, 1, its a really good price and 2, the students need to learn and I am not picky! Plus some of my friends work there and its fun to see them! I also think it might be a problem when the receptionist knows its you on the phone... Since school is destroying my life I haven't been to the salon in forever!! Also, my bestie JP moved away and we would go get our nails done every two weeks. Last week I decided I NEEDED a microderm. Basically, a microderm is someone with a sandpaper machine going over your face with it to get rid of dead skin cells which can result in glowin
